Not Just a TrailThese pictures were taken on a trail in the woods at the end of my street. I took these pictures later in the day during some pretty gloomy and cloudy weather. I took these images from a low angle facing upward because I think it makes it look very grand and somewhat mysterious. These are the woods that my neighbors and I would play in as a kid, always seeming so big and adventurous. This is what I tried to show in the pictures.
Where the Swamp Things GoLily PadsThese photos were taken at a small lake on a trail my family and I would sometimes go. Though we would usually go in the summer when the Lilies had flowers, I still wanted to capture photos of them now. I took these pictures by going at a downward angle and getting the reflections in the water. I love coming here and enjoying the peacefulness and silence of nature. I had some trouble with a couple pictures because people on the lake were using their boats, but it turned out fine.

Worn Down TrailA Hidden AdventureHere is one of the ponds in the woods by my house. I have memories of coming out here during the summer and watching the sunlight glint off of the turtle's backs. These pictures were taken while it was cloudy and cold. There were some issues with the colors because of the dreary weather, but it worked out. I tried to show the secrecy and the adventure in the simplest things.
LiliesAnother HalloweenThese pictures of pumpkins were taken at the pumpkin patch in Dexter. This is where we buy and pick our pumpkins each year. They have pumpkins of every size and color for each age. I am always reminded of fall and Halloween (which is one of my favorite holidays). These photos were hard to make interesting, but I tried to create not just a view of a couple pumpkins and some dirt.

Finally, these are photos taken at the pond in the woods. Instead of the pond, I focused on the trees. They had beautiful color because of the changing leaves. Trees are a big part of nature and a big part of us- we couldn't survive without them. I have great memories of sitting in the woods and looking up at these trees.
